Stephanie Normand teaches
at Cottonwood Creek Park (5:30-6:30am)&
(7:15-8:15am)
She is certified in Athletic Training, Personal Fitness Training, Massage Therapy, EFI Gravity, and CPR. Stephanie holds a B.S degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University. Stephanie has experience from being an intern with San Diego Spirit (Women’s Professional Soccer Team), an athletic training student with the Yale University football and ice hockey teams, an athletic trainer with Quinnipiac’s men’s ice hockey team as well as their women’s softball and basketball teams. In addition, she has been working as a Personal Fitness Trainer in San Diego County for the last 5 years.Stephanie has been a competitive athlete for 16 years. In addition to being a member of Quinnipiac University’s women’s division I soccer team, she played soccer in high school, where she was selected as an “All Western-Mass” and “All State” Soccer Player in 1998. Stephanie has also achieved “green cordon” in Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian Martial Arts.
She brings over 10 years of experience in the health and fitness industry and a passion for helping others pursue and achieve their fitness goals while effectively leading and motivating them to a healthier, more fulfilling way of life.

Karen Pietsch teaches at Lake Park (5:30-6:30am), & Magee Park
(5:45-6:45pm).
Karen is certified as a fitness
trainer by three national
fitness organizations; NASM,
AFAA, and NCSF. She has a
bachelor’s degree in
pre-physical therapy from
Covenant College in GA, and is
certified in CPR. Karen has
worked as a personal fitness
trainer at 24-Hour Fitness for 3
years, and has logged in over
2500 training hours.
Karen played basketball,
softball, and volleyball in high
school, and was on a year-round
swim team for 3 years. Fitness
has always been a way of life
for Karen, and she plans to keep
it that way.
Her goal for campers is to work
their butts off, and have lots
of fun in the process. Come

Jessica Varela teaches
at Valley Middle School
Jessica has a strong fitness
background. She loves fitness so much that she decided to
get into the personal training field in order to help
others achieve their health & fitness goals.
Jessica is NASM, NESTA and CPR certified, she is a highly creative
and resourceful trainer with a proven ability to design successful
exercise programs that include strength, cardio, core, balance and
flexibility training.
Jessica loves to sweat about half as much as she
loves to make others sweat, so once you've made the
decision to make a lifestyle change to improve your
mind, body and spirit, she would be honored to be a part
of that phenomenally positive and rewarding experience
of helping YOU achieve your health & fitness goals.

Kathy Cole teaches at the Cannon Park (9:00-10:00am)
Kathy is a certified trainer by National Fitness Organization AFAA, she is also CPR certified. Kathy also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA.
Kathy has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years. She has a long experience in personal training and leading group exercise classes both locally and international (includes Japan & Australia).
Kathy's energy and enthusiasm will motivate you to work as hard as you can, to achieve your desired fitness goal, she will push you & make you sweat to get there, no matter what your fitness level is. Her top priority, is proper technique, because she is allergic to injuries.
Kathy also has 3 kids and she makes sure to keep them active, she also enjoys running, tennis, and water skiing.
