Karen Pietsch teaches at Magee Park in Carlsbad (5:45pm) and Cottonwood Creek in Encinitas (5:30am).
Karen is a certified personal trainer in San Diego through three national fitness organizations; NASM, AFAA, and NCSF. She has a bachelor’s degree in pre-physical therapy from Covenant College in GA, and is certified in CPR. Karen has worked as a San Diego personal fitness trainer at 24-Hour Fitness for 3 years, and has logged in over 4500 training hours. Karen has been teaching boot camps for 7 years and LOVES the camaraderie that comes with group training.
Karen played basketball, softball, and volleyball in high school, and was on a year-round swim team for 3 years. She currently plays golf and beach volleyball, as well as works out regularly. Fitness has always been a way of life for Karen, and she plans to keep it that way.
Her goal for campers is to work their butts off, and have lots of fun in the process. Come join her team of women that are making a positive choice to stand above the crowd and make a lifestyle change to better their bodies inside and out.
Rebecca Thompson teaches @ Lake Park in Vista (5:30am).
Rebecca is a certified personal trainer in San Diego through ISSA and has attended certification seminars for Nesta. She is also CPR certified and has a certificate in APEX nutrition along with PTA Global certification and soon to be NASM certification. She also has her bachelors in Psychology and therefore can help you create the need for change, as she believes training first starts with change.
Rebecca has developed a successful regime training style the past few years that works for a wide variety of persons; from severely overweight clients to strong athletes and injury recovery clients. Amanda took dance, health and weight training at Palomar College. She also enjoys Pilates and soccer. Amanda is super energetic and ready to give you a GREAT workout and improve your overall health and fitness levels.
She hopes you will follow her in her belief, "In order to achieve something you have never achieved before, you have to train like you never have before."
Jessica Richer teaches at Luiseno Park in Oceanside(5:30am) and Kit Carson Park in Escondido(5:45pm).
Jessica is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter and an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She recently relocated to the San Diego area from her hometown of Long Island, New York to pursue this endeavor as a full time career. Prior to her fighting career, Jessica both played and coached ice hockey, including three years as a forward for the Long Island region team at the Empire State Games (2008 Gold Medalists), and two years as head coach for the Island Waves youth travel team.
For the last two years, Jessica has applied her athletic experience towards the fitness community, developing effective training programs for weight loss, strength building, cardiovascular improvement, and overall health and longevity, incorporating unique sport- inspired drills and training techniques to create a fun and motivating workout experience. Jessica holds a personal Trainer certification from Bally Total Fitness and is currently pursuing CPT certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers..
